Video projection, datamoshing.
Somewhere on a server farm exists a collection of data. Every search, scroll, post, message, and interaction that you have—every second you linger, every movement of your mouse—all harvested to create a “digital twin,” a reflection of yourself forged from data based not only on your intentional actions, but also your subconscious ones. This portrait is tested, sold, and used against you.

On the other end of the screen you, the user, are shaped by the stream of content that is algorithmically curated and presented to you. The content that we constantly consume online affects our character and personality, and the lines between our real selves, our curated online personas, and our data driven profiles continue to blur.

In Digiportrait I ask myself—where is this line between these three characters? What do they look like? What does one understand about another? How do we exist together?

Exhibited at Stimuli (2025) and SIM All School Show (2025)
