Teagan Far is an interdisciplinary artist based in Boston, Massachusetts. She is currently studying at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and will be graduating the spring of 2026 with a BFA in interrelated media. She works within a variety of mediums including video, sound, graphic design, live event production, and installation. Her work investigates themes of digital bodies, life within the age of the internet, relationships with the natural world, and self identity.
Processing, HTML, Arduino, ping sensor.Parking Spot invites participants to consider how cars affect their quality of life. The project starts at an imaginable scale, a parking space. A single parking space in the United States is typically 9 feet wide and up to 20 feet long. The outlined parking space is filled with three different pieces: an interactive traffic light that guides visitors into the space, a live dashboard of car crashes, injuries, and fatalities in the US, and a kiosk where guests can input their own experiences based on text prompts. The responses are pinned to a separate dashboard in real time. Visitors are invited not just to consider how the automobile impacts their lives, but also what the parking space could be instead.
